Expanding access to rural healthcare

The construction programme is intended to bring primary healthcare closer to communities that currently travel long distances for basic services.

Beyond the buildings themselves, successful delivery will depend on staffing, medicines, equipment, water, and reliable power.

NDS2 commitment details

Target: Establish fully staffed, solar-powered clinics in targeted districts by end of 2026.

Promise: Build 15 new primary healthcare clinics in remote rural districts.

Public impact: Residents in underserved districts should have better access to primary healthcare closer to home, reducing travel time for patients and families.

Status: Completed Next Milestone: Handover and official commissioning of all 15 locations.
